West Ham United are reportedly keen to sign Harry Maguire and Scott McTominay from Manchester United during this summer's transfer window. The Hammers announcedDeclan Rice's sale toArsenal. This means that head coach David Moyes should have a healthy budget to improve his squad in the current market.
There has been speculationsurrounding Maguire and McTominay's future in recent weeks. Neither is believed to be in the plans of Red Devils head coach Erik ten Hag moving forward. According to The Independent, now that Rice'stransferred to Arsenal, West Ham will step up interest in McTominay. McTominayis a leading midfield target for the Hammers.
Meanwhile, the report claims that Moyes's team are also keen on Maguire. A loan move for the England international is thought to be a possibility on the current market. Maguire has seen his wages at Man United increase this summer. The 30-year-old still has another two years left to run on his Old Trafford deal, with the option of a further year.
The former Sheffield United youngster has dropped down the pecking order in terms of starting roles in the middle of the Red Devils'defence. He made the first XI in the Premier League eight times during the 2022-23 campaign. Man United are keen to shift the Englishman permanently this summer. However, a loan move is more likely due to his huge wage packet.
