If the Ghanaian people have already forgotten, we will remind them of some of the difficult situations they were put through during the time that John Mahama served as President, which was from July 2012 to January 7, 2017.
We want Ghanaians to recall what John Mahama said during the heat of dumsor, that the charging of cell phones was taking so much electricity and was partially to blame for the load shedding. Mahama stated that the charge of cell phones was partly to blame for the situation. We would want to caution individuals who are looking forward to the return of John Mahama that mobile phones that are more advanced now than they were in 2016 will use more electricity, and it is obvious that he would once again be unable in resolving any power problem that may arise.
We are not very pleased with the manner in which the NPP government has been handling certain aspects of the conduct of public policy, such as the handling of debts owed to bondholders and food suppliers; however, we expect the NDC, if its members are patriotic, to provide us with alternatives that are feasible rather than using these issues as campaign tools. We are not very pleased with the manner in which the NPP government has been handling the handling of debts owed to bondholders and food suppliers.
The National Democratic Coalition and its leadership in Parliament make no effort to spare in their efforts to mobilise in order to offer their condolences to some members of the National Food Suppliers Association who had picketed outside the offices of the National Buffer Stock Company.
Because the government owes them over GH270 million, we can't help but ask what could possibly motivate otherwise rational human beings to sleep outside in the open for three days or longer in freezing weather. Because they are upset, will their secondary school-aged children put themselves in danger by exposing themselves to this potential health hazard?
Politics, namely the kind of politics practised by the NDC, is the only thing that can guide the attitude of these food suppliers. It should come as no surprise that Kwaku Amedume, the spokesman for the National Food Suppliers Association, is rumoured to be a card-carrying member of the NDC. Despite all of his posturing that the government owes them so much to generate public sympathy, the underlying reason is to utilise the crisis to cause disaffection for the government.
This individual, who refers to himself as the spokesperson for the food providers, is aware of the fact that anything the government owes you is just as valuable as money, with the exception that it takes some time for it to be honoured.
People who congregated at the National Buffer Stock Company are not actual businesspeople; rather, they are members of the NDC who are carrying out the wishes of the opposition party.
Because the NDC is so intent on seizing power, we are able to tell the NPP that more incidents of this nature will take place in the days to come. The National Democratic Coalition (NDC) is an odd collection of human specimens who are willing to sell their honour and reputation for political power at any price.
The National Democratic Congress can rest confident that their techniques of deception and propaganda will be extinguished like the corn husk fire, which Ewes refer to as "agobo dzo."
