Top 10 highest earners  in football right now

In a surprising turn of events, it has been revealed that Saudi Arabian side Al-Ettifaq has offered Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson a staggering Ł700,000 per week to move to the Middle East. The 33-year-old midfielder is now considering his future at Liverpool and is expected to make a decision within the next 48 hours. The potential move would make Henderson one of the highest-paid footballers in the world.

Previously, superstars Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi were enticed out of Europe with enormous wage offers. Additionally, two Paris Saint-Germain forwards currently earn among the highest salaries in world football. With Henderson potentially joining Al-Ettifaq, Mail Sport has examined where he would rank among the top 10 global earners.

At number 10 is Casemiro, who plays for Manchester United and earns Ł375,000 per week. Kevin De Bruyne of Manchester City is at number 9, with a wage of approximately Ł425,000 per week. Marcelo Brozovic, who moved to Al-Nassr, a Saudi side, surprisingly appears at number 8 with Ł575,000 per week. Henderson's potential salary of Ł700,000 per week would place him at number 7 in the list.

Neymar, the Brazilian forward who plays for Paris Saint-Germain, is at number 6 with Ł725,000 per week. Lionel Messi, whose move to Inter Miami is unconfirmed, is estimated to earn around Ł900,000 per week, placing him at number 5. Erling Haaland of Manchester City and Kylian Mbappe of PSG both earn around Ł900,000 per week, putting them at numbers 4 and 3, respectively. Cristiano Ronaldo, now at Al-Nassr, earns approximately Ł1.2 million per week, securing the second spot. Finally, the exact earnings of Karim Benzema at Al-Ittihad are unknown, but his estimated Ł1.6 million per week, including commercial income, likely places him among the top earners.

If Henderson decides to join Al-Ettifaq, he would become one of the highest-paid footballers in the world. His potential move would be significant not only for his personal finances but also in relation to Saudi Arabia's attempt to gain influence in football. While the financial aspect of the offer is enticing, there are concerns raised by a Liverpool LGBT fan group regarding the human rights situation in Saudi Arabia. Ultimately, the decision rests with Henderson, who will weigh various factors before making a choice that could reshape his career.
