Hello and welcome back to this succinct article. My name is Gregory, but you can refer to me as Greg for short. I am a young and passionate blogger (myfinancedlife.blogspot.com) and a Ghanaian Youtuber (@Gregorytube26). I give updates on how to get paid online and how to get unlimited data bundles.
Guys! Today, July 23, I am coming to you to surprise you once again with a weird story about the slight beef between the Indian cashew buyers and the Ghanaian cashew sellers.
Now you will surely wonder to hear sincerely that these Indian people have a complete effrontery to determine the price of a kilogram of Ghanaian cashew.
Cashew Image.
In the Brong Ahafo Region, most especially along the border line on the Jaman North side. Most farmers are able and competent to achieve some financial goals in this life because of Cashew. This crop is the most lucrative cash crop ever in the Brong Ahafo Region, but the direct and hardworking farmers are the very people who suffer the least profits from this cash crop. The local government authority is not able to keep up their pleasant words to fix the price for the lovely Ghanaian cashew farmers.
Earlier in January 2023, the cashew farmers were actually jubilating and celebrating because the local Nana Akufo Addo government granted a minimum price of GHS8.5 for one kilogram, but fortunately, the maximum price started at GHS11 in some vicinities and GHS12 in other vicinities. This non-standard price is the result of the selfishness of the sub-agents, or those who were buying the cashew in the various rural areas for the Indians. Actually, these Ghanaian farmers did a lot of public demonstrations to draw the attention of the government authority to come in with a strict standard or good price, but the saddest part is that the authority rather connived with the Indians, took the monetary shares, and fixed a poor price nonchalantly.
The Indians are now Able to determine the price for the Ghanaian cashew crop, and no national leader can do his best to improve the price due to their selfish attitude. By the end of the cashew season this year, 2023, 1 Kilogram was costing GHS 3.00, and due to this poor price, some farmers nearly abandoned their cashew on their farms. We can now say vehemently that we have national liberty, but mentally and emotionally, we are still enslaved by the white people due to the management and administration of our sleeping and proactive national leaders, who can't add value to Ghana.
