There were hot exchanges in the studios of TV3 when an NPP MP clashed with a private legal practitioner. This week has been dominated by news of a leaked audio tape. The 3- hour tape delved into some actions of the Inspector General of Police and how his continuous stay in office will not augur well for the ruling New Patriotic Party in the elections of 2024. Already, one individual recognized as Bugri Naabu, a former NPP Northern Regional Chairman has been identified as one of the voices on the leaked audio.

The opposition National Democratic Congress have called for the tape to be investigated. This led to Speaker Alban Bagbin creating a 7- member committee to investigate the authenticity of the leaked audio. The NPP have however questioned why so much attention has been given to a tape that could have been forged. On the TV3' s The Keypoints, Habib Iddrisu, the Second Majority Chief Whip lambasted the NDC for calling for a probe.

According to Habib, the NPP do not need the IGP in breaking the 8. He noted that if tapes like this are tolerated it will encourage other people to record others and use it for nefarious reasons. As Habib spoke, he was interrupted by lawyer Martin Kpebu who questioned why Habib is concerned about a leaked tape when he should be worried about a supreme court suit that has been filed against him.

The NPP lawyer for Tolon has come under critic after crime charges were raised against him by Australian Police. The Police in Australia claim that the MP while a resident of Australia used another person' s credit card to withdraw cash for himself. The NDC' s Brogya Genfi has thus filed a suit challenging the MP' s legibility in contesting in the 2020 elections when he had been convicted of a crime.

Habib Iddrisu wondered why Martin Kpebu will raise such an issue on live TV when that was not the topic being discussed. He called for an apology and retraction or else he sues Marin Kpebu. Martin dared him to go ahead and do his worse because the issue of Habib' s conviction is already in public. Martin refused to apologize and it had to take the host of the show to convince Martin to apologize and retract his statement on the alleged conviction of Habib Iddrisu.
