Submit an anti-LGBTQ bill now—Moderator Global Evangelical Church 


The Very Reverend Prosper Samuel Dzomeku, the coordinator
 of the Global Evangelical Church (GEC), has called on Parliament to pass the Anti-Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ+) Bill without delay.

He said there was no reason for the delay in the introduction of the law since the three main religions of Ghana namely Christianity, Islam and African Indigenous Religion (AIR) abhorsuch practices. Rt. Dzomeku was preaching during the ordination ceremony of 32 GEC ministers at Trinity Chapel, Kotobabi in Accra. Preaching the gospel on the topic: "Holiness and the Word of God," based on Psalm 119:9-11, the director said that it is important to deliberately prepare young people and children, especially despite the practices of foreign culturesthat are devouring the earth. no. 

According to the organizer, the solution to the serious corruption the country is currently facing is to deliberately educate the youth and children through the Word of God. He said that the word of God can make him clean and holy. "Therefore, when we teach young people the rightdoctrine, they will be able to resist foreign pressure and that is the only way to hope for the future." Rt. Dzomeku then instructed the newly ordained priests to focus not only on the elders, but also on the youth and children ministry. Rev. Dr. John Ahiabu who is the secretary of the Synod of the Church read the profiles of the 32 people and gave them to the coordinator for the ordination ceremony. The moderator presided over the ordination ceremony and was approved by the synod secretary.

 Eyram Atsu and PastorJoyce Dieu Donne Ahiabor, who presided, read the English Bibleand the sheep for the day. Reverend Godfred Ofori, thenewly ordained minister on behalf of the colleagues,expressed deep gratitude to the leadership, family, friends and congregation for their varioussupport. The ceremony was attended by former Church leaders, past and present synod committees, many parliamentarians, and family members and friends of ordained ministers.
