Dismissal ceremony of the chief financial officer 




The retirement
 ceremony ofthe Chief Financial Officer of Prisons, Mr. Samuel Adjei-Attah, was held at the Prison Service Training School in Accra. DOP Samuel Adjei-Attahserved for 28 years. Enrolled as a member of Cadet Course Admission 13, DOP. Samuel Adjei-Attah started his career with the Ghana Prison Service in December 1995. First he was sent to the Ankaful military camp, as an employee of the central district commander;later he became a registrar, a receptionist and an agricultural director. 

While in Ankaful, he was takento prison due to an epidemicand was second in charge when the office in charge of himretired. After almost 8 years of dedicated work at Ankaful Prison Complex, he was finallytransferred to Nsawam Medium Security Prison as a welfare officer. Finally, he was transferred to James Camp Prison as second in command in January 2005. SP. 319 DOP Samuel Adjei Atta was sent to the Prison Service Training School as a Deputy Director and served for six months. In October 2009, he was transferred to the prison inWinneba as a controller. In September 2016, he assumedthe position of Deputy Wardenat Sekondi Central Jail. In 2017 and 2018, he worked as a deputy warden at Wa Central Jail and a deputy warden at the prison officers' training school. Through hard work, and dedication to work, DOP. Samuel Adjei-Attah transferred to headquarters in 2021 and became the head of prison health.

Prior to his retirement, he was appointed Chief Financial Officer in October 2022. The prison's director of finance, Mr. Adjei-Attah, urged all staff to show individuality in everything they do.

 is important to be vigilant at all times and in all human activities, especially since we are dealing with human beings who are unpredictable and tend to not satisfied." 



“Working
 as a prison officer,which is really rewarding, requires a lot of commitment and dedication to work and not worrying about money. You have to invest your time and be loyal to your superiors in order to reach the level of the job you choose, a quality that I see thatsome workers will not come. I request you all to give all your support and selfless service to your leaders. Because there is a reward in serving Jehovah." 

"I encourage
 you to come up with one way in everything you do, because in unity there isstrength. For strong leadership, unity is essential, because a leader is motivated to act when he knows he has the support of his followers. 

DOP. Samuel Adjei-Attah served in the United Nations Hybrid Operations in Darfur (UNAMID) and was awarded the June 4 Medal, Long Serviceand Good Conduct Medal, Golden Jubilee Awards and Medal.
