Pasteur and three others were imprisoned for seven days 



The Bolgatanga District Court sentenced the head pastor of Jesus Spanner Miracle Church in Bongo District, Atogpeelige Akongyaane, and three other members of the church to seven days imprisonment.

It
 comes after they were convicted of two counts of physical abuse and inciting acrime, namely the physical abuse of a child under the age oftwo months in breach of the Crimes Act 1960 (Act 29) and the Violence Against WomenAct House 2007 (Act). 732). Others, Zacchaeus Ayamga, Robert Aberinga Akugre and Daniel Ayeliga Ageekilingo, as well as a pastor, were also fined GH¢2,400 each.

Two other persons, Veronica Ayamga and Mary Akonyane, the mother of the baby, were taken to prison for breastfeeding and later paid a fine of GH¢2,400 each. Truth 
The facts of the case as presented by the lawyers ofInspector Baliki Amidu Issaka, isthat the plaintiff is the police in the area where the defendants are from Balungu and Zorko in Bongo area.

He said
 the local police captured a video on social media where the defendantswere gathered in the church and Veronica was holding the baby and throwing it into the hurtful dance. He said that based on the instructions given by the local police, the defendants were found and arrested for questioning.

Finally,
 on July 7, 2023, they were arrested and questioned,they admitted the offenses in their warning statements, but said they could not deny the "holy spirit" possessed byVeronica. The lawyer said at about 12:00 p.m. on February 5, 2023, Veronica and Atogpeelige performed the baptism of the victim in the said church.

During the time of music, praiseand worship, Veronica has and takes care of the victim ofAkogyaane because the Holy Spirit entered into him and he protects the child from any evil attack that will try to capturehim. Procedure 
He said that in the process, Veronica began abusing the baby by throwing it and pushing it in dangerous ways while the other defendants were busy giving it pleasure by clapping and singing.

 video of the incident went viral on social media about a week ago, leading to their arrest and charges.
