THE ATTITUDE AND MIND -SET ABOUT MONEY. 

 *SCRIPTURE READINGS:*

Hebrews 13:5; 1 Timothy 6:10

 *EXPOSITION* 

Money is any item or verifiable record that is generally accepted as payment for goods and services and repayment of debts, such as taxes, in a particular country or socio-economic context.^[1][2][3] The primary functions which distinguish money are as a medium of exchange, a unit of account, a store of value and sometimes, a standard of deferred payment.

The attitude and mindset about money have held many people bound to various habits. Billy Graham has pointed out that: “If a person gets his attitude toward money straight, it will help straighten out almost every other area of his life.” Every human being likes money because, without it, you will wallow in many unwanted paths. Are you sometimes surprised at how even kids/infants hold on to money as if they have been trained to do so?

Unfortunately, the negative attitude, wrong mindset, excessive love and cravings for money are what have drawn back many people. It is important, therefore, that we imbibe these:

Love God and your fellow human beings more than money.

Be content and live within your means always.

Never live your life to please anybody on earth.

We see in part and know in part - follow God’s ultimate plan for your life and be satisfied with what you have presently. Be open-minded and renewed in thought, avoiding the unhealthy syndrome that “everybody is chasing after money.” The assurance is that God will not leave us or forsake us in any way. It's very good to have money.
