Ohemaa Woyeje, a broadcaster, has delved into the controversy involving Sarkodie and Yvonne Nelson by participating in an interview on the GTV Breakfast Show. Woyeje claims that Sarkodie did not handle the situation with Yvonne Nelson very well.
The release of a diss song by Sarkodie as a response to the claims made by Yvonne Nelson in her book "I Am Not Yvonne Nelson" was, in her opinion, not the greatest way to handle the situation.
The broadcaster expressed her opinion that she does not believe Sarkodie handled the situation properly, stating that she believes he should have stated something along the lines of "probably he could have said we were growing up and we were young and it happened and I'm sorry."
According to Ohemaa Woyeje, "for Sarkodie to do banter with Yvonne Nelson wasn't right," since "it's a feminine world," and "the moment you do stuff like that, you pinch all other women and they will come after you."
Ohemaa Woyeje, when asked about the book, stated that while she does not criticise Yvonne Nelson for bringing out all the concerns, as a mother herself, she would not want her daughters to treat her the same way that Yvonne Nelson treats her mother in her book. Yvonne Nelson's mother is the subject of the book.
"I am a mother, if my daughters grow up and they decide to handle me this way," Ohemaa Woyeje said moreover.
The broadcaster went on to say that she believes Yvonne Nelson has done an excellent job, and that she gives her two thumbs up for it. She went on to say that "strategically, there is no book which has created such controversy for that I give her a thumbs up," but that "for other matters, her mother would feel that her own daughter had sold her out."
