A lot of famous Ghanaians are enjoying the air they left behind in a community in Lower Manya Krobo Municipality in the Eastern Region.
The city's lawmaker, Raymond Gborson, said they were overwhelmed by the number of applications received to adopt the child. He said that the pastor and his wife who were placed with the child are also interested in adopting the child because they do not have a daughter.
The new born baby was in the early hours of Sunday July 16, 2023 abandoned in front of the door of the resident pastor of the New Alliance Apostolic Church in Kpong Ahodwo. The unknown new mother dropped a suicide note next to the littlegirl that read "After you readthis letter, I will be dead and gone. Please take care of this child like your own." Please, I'm sorry I did this, but it's the only way this child will have a chance to live. Please take care of him. I'm sorry, please forgive me. God bless you."
The baby was wrapped in awhite cloth with the umbilical cord still attached. The localpolice were notified and sent to the scene of the incident.
The baby was taken to the hospital for treatment and was released the same day and handed over to the pastor'swife to take care of while she waits.
