High school principal Mduduzi Ndlovu reportedly raped a 15-year-old boy multiple times and threatened him.

Former high school principal Mduduzi Ndlovu has been sentenced to life imprisonment after being found guilty of raping a 15-year-old boy.

Ndlovu was sentenced on Tuesday, July 18, as a 39-year-old former high school principal found guilty of raping a 15-year-old schoolboy. Ndlovu knew his fate during sentencing on July 18, 2023.

FORMER SCHOOL PRINCIPAL SENTENCED TO LIFE IMPRISONMENT

The South African Police Service (SAPS) spokesperson in KwaZulu-Natal, Colonel Robert Netshiunda, said the court heard how Ndlovu manipulated and violated the 15-year-old boy who trusted and believed in him as his teacher.

Netshiunda said investigations proved that one afternoon in 2018, the former principal requested the boy to assist him in his office. The principal reportedly became aggressive and raped the victim.

“He threatened to harm the boy if he told anyone about the incident. He also gave him money and stationery in exchange for his silence.

“Ndlovu raped the victim on several occasions, and he sometimes fetches him from home and drives with him to his place of residence in the Bhekuzulu area, where he rapes him,” Netshiunda explained.

Strange behavior noticed by a church member

In 2022, a church member reportedly noticed strange behavior from the boy. The teenager broke his silence, and a rape case was opened as a result.

Ndlovu made several court appearances before he was convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment for rape. He was also declared unfit to possess a firearm. His name will also be engraved on the National Register of Sexual Offenders.

Teachers are supposed to be the protectors of children, so when teachers start to rape schoolchildren, it makes it hard for them to trust or disclose their problems to anyone, not even their parents.

Teachers are guardians of the schoolchildren, so if this happens, it doesn't make them feel safe, and their mood begins to change mentally.
