Manchester United have just £20m left to buy a striker and will spend £60m on Rasmus Hojlund amid bad news for Arsenal.

Andre Onana arrives to finalize the Man Utd transfer TODAY… but the deal leaves Ten Hag with just £20m left to spend on the striker

Erik ten Hag will now focus entirely on capturing Atalanta's Rasmus Hojlund.

The Italian club initially asked for £86m for the 6ft 3 danish striker, who played just 87 games and scored nine goals in 32 appearances last season.

But the Old Trafford side are increasingly confident they can bring the price down to around £60m, including additional terms for the 20-year-old.

Good to talk

Sorry about that, but we're back with some weird quotes in the title. This one from The Sun is simply inexplicable.

DIRECT MESSAGE:

Bayern hold 'negotiations' with Kane, Premier League battle Diaby, Alba prepares to join Messi at Inter Miami

They held talks. Negotiations took place. No one doubts that Spurs, Bayern and Kane are in talks. What is uncertain is the outcome of these negotiations. It's not a quote, it's not a concept you might want to stay away from, it's not an idea that people won't grasp. Why the scary quotes here? Bayern are in talks with Kane. DO. Exactly. Arrange.

It's not necessarily bad, but it makes us "crazy".

bright Star

Sad news for Arsenal from The Sun, revealing 'Six stars will leave the Gunners this summer' before Mikel Arteta can have any more money to spend, after being given just £200m to improve his squad so far.

Who are these SIX stars? We'll admit Kieran Tierney is a good full-back with injuries, but we probably wouldn't call an Arsenal star. What about the rest of this celestial conjugate constellation?

Cedric Soares, Nicolas Pepe, Albert Lokonga, Nuno Tavares and Rob Holding could also leave.

Words don't mean anything anymore, do they?

Big Bayern

Bayern Munich won their pre-season friendly with a score of 27-0 yesterday. That's not surprising - it's not even the first time this has happened. This is their third time in recent years against ninth-place local rivals FC Rottach-Egern, and although it was their heaviest win of those three, the other two ended 20-2 in 2018 and 23-0 the following year.

Obviously this is a game where you absolutely can't learn anything or anyone from it. Bayern Munich, the best team in Germany and one of the best in the world, is much better than a team in England at the level of the Combined County Championship or the Eastern County Premier League. It's really just a bit of fun, something Bayern has always taken very seriously, which just makes it more fun. No conclusions can be drawn here. So obviously, conclusions have been drawn. "Sadio Mane's face says it all," told the Mirror after inexplicably celebrating his 27th goal in the final minute.

Better still from the Express, who believe "Marcel Sabitzer sends a message to Man Utd after five goals in Bayern's 27-0 win". Yes, and the message is that it will be extremely helpful if United find themselves struggling with Banstead Athletic at any point next season.

Marcel Sabitzer sent Manchester United a reminder of his abilities as they enjoyed a memorable evening in Bayern Munich's first pre-season friendly
