After his claims to possess the power of resurrection were shown to be fake, a well- known man of God from Tree of Life International Ministries was compelled to relocate. He tried to revive a dead member of the congregation, but failed.
After his two- hour prayer for the deceased Sekuru Fungo failed to revive him, Prophet Vincent Nyamadzawo was severely beaten by mourners. Ironically, just before the deceased' s passing, Nyamadzawo prayed for him.
The prophet stated that Fungo was just asleep when he passed away, and that it would take two hours to raise him from the dead. It backfired, though, and the church was forced to close after his adherents ceased attending his services in response to fabricated prophecies.
Nyamadzawo packed his property on Wednesday last week and left for Mvurwi where he found another home to start afresh. He had also caused a storm after allegedly approaching girls from his church in their WhatsApp inboxes and asking them if they were virgins.
Nyamadzawo prayed for two hours in the hospital. He said: " What can stop me if Jesus raised Lazarus? The family was had to sign legal forms before the body could be transferred to the mortuary after the doctors pronounced him dead.
" The prophet started praying for the deceased after telling the family members not to sign the documents stating that he would raise him from the dead. Prior to his passing, he had prayed for him for 30 minutes. "
Another church member continued, " The pastor went to pray for the deceased while he was still alive in the hospital, but he was approached by the deceased' s daughter, whom he counseled not to sign paperwork for the body to be brought to the mortuary. "
He declared that he would raise him from the dead and urged several nurses to pray for him so that he might enter. But until the nurses made the decision to send him outside, his efforts were ineffective. Since he was fabricating false prophets and disparaging churchgoers, the church fell apart.
He was also stating there were no virgins in the church when he was roaming about. He appeared to be searching for virgins in the church. Around midnight, he would message girls and ask them to meet him here.
Another attendee said: " Because I attend the church, I am a part of this story. People began beating the pastor after we confronted him. "
