The move presents a challenge but also a chance for Jurgen Klopp, who has already lost three midfielders this summer. After losing James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and Naby Keita, the Reds manager moved to bring in Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai to restructure his midfield following a poor 2022/23 season.
With Fabinho's departure now likely, Liverpool will need to re-enter the transfer market for more reinforcements. Liverpool have received a £40 million bid for the Brazilian midfielder, while captain Jordan Henderson is a target for Al-Ettifaq's former captain Steven Gerrard.
