Joseph composed these sombre words as part of his memorial: "May you rest in eternal peace, Nwanyi oma." My broken heart cannot be expressed in any other way."
"The realisation that I was on the verge of purchasing your plane ticket to fulfil our unfinished plans, only to receive news of your heavenly departure last night, has left me grappling with anguish that is indescribable," said the person. "Our unfinished plans were going to be fulfilled by us, and I was on the verge of buying your plane ticket."
"I beseech the Lord earnestly for the fortitude to triumph over this crippling jolt. It's amazing how quickly life can slip through our fingers; one second we have it, and the next, it's gone.
"Throughout the two decades that we have been friends, you have consistently given off an air of wonder, decency, and beauty. The very core of who you are cannot be adequately captured by words. I pray that your kind spirit will find peace in eternity until the day that we are reunited in celestial bliss. #CynthiaOkereke."
Cynthia Okereke, an illustrious figure in Nollywood, and her esteemed colleague, Clemson Cornell, well known as Agbogidi, suffered a terrifying ordeal when they were kidnapped while carrying out their professional duties in Enugu State, Nigeria, about a year ago. They were taken hostage while they were working in Nigeria's Enugu State. Agbogidi and Cynthia Okereke have since been released.
After their final release, Cynthia Okereke, who shown an incredible amount of bravery, openly retold the horrible experience. She shed light on the obstacles she encountered during the week-long period of imprisonment, including the deprivation of nourishment and hydration.
She expressed her undying appreciation by saying, "Despite the fact that my blood pressure shot through the roof, I will be eternally grateful for each and every one of you." The success of everyone's combined efforts and prayers was absolutely essential to ensuring Cynthia's survival. I will keep fighting for you all and advocating on your behalf. They were under the impression that I would be silenced, but that will not happen. I went without food and water for a complete week, which was quite difficult for me. But even now, I want to express my unending appreciation to God since His splendour will last for all of eternity.
