PSG in contact with entourage of Manchester United target
According to renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is making an attempt to disrupt Manchester United's pursuit of Atalanta's young forward, Rasmus Hřjlund, who is just 20 years old. PSG is on the lookout for a striker this summer after missing out on key targets in the same position last year, most notably Robert Lewandowski, who ultimately joined Barcelona. Their primary target is reportedly Tottenham Hotspur's star forward, Harry Kane, though French media reports suggest Bayern Munich is also keen on securing his services.
In addition to Kane, PSG has compiled a shortlist of other potential striker options, including Rasmus Hřjlund. Romano reveals that PSG is actively engaging with the player's representatives to explore the possibility of bringing him to the club. However, Manchester United seems to have taken significant steps in their pursuit of the Danish forward. The Red Devils have already reached an agreement in terms with Atalanta and are preparing to submit an initial offer for Hřjlund to ward off any attempts by PSG to hijack the deal.
Nevertheless, should PSG's efforts to convince Hřjlund to join their ranks prove unsuccessful, they will continue to explore alternative targets. Aside from Kane, other names on their list include Victor Osimhen, Dušan Vlahovi?, and Randal Kolo Muani.
Manchester United's interest in Hřjlund signifies their commitment to bolstering their attacking options with young, promising talents. The 20-year-old has shown considerable potential at Atalanta, making him an attractive prospect for top clubs like United and PSG. The Red Devils are eager to secure the Danish forward's services and are moving swiftly to finalize the deal before PSG can intervene.
For PSG, landing a marquee striker is a priority, given their ambition to compete at the highest level both domestically and in European competitions. Missing out on Lewandowski last year was a blow, but they remain determined to secure a top-class forward to lead their attacking line. While Kane is their primary target, they are keeping their options open and will explore other potential signings if their pursuit of the English captain proves challenging.
The summer transfer window is often a highly competitive and fluid period, with clubs vying for the best players to strengthen their squads. The battle between PSG and Manchester United for Rasmus Hřjlund's signature adds another intriguing subplot to this year's transfer market drama. Only time will tell which club will emerge victorious in their quest to secure the talented Danish forward.
