John Dramani Mahama who is a leader of the biggest opposition party in Ghana has also added his voice to the ongoing trending news about the huge sum of money stolen from the Minister for Sanitation's home.
The news broke out this early morning that Hon. Cecilia Dapaah's househelp had stolen some huge of of money from the Sanitation Minister's home.
However, the amount involved was so huge and attracted a lot of attention from Ghanaians and other politicians. It was alleged that the amount involved was $1million, €300,000 and millions of Ghana cedis.
Meanwhile, John Dramani Mahama has descended heavily on President Akufo Addo for not setting any good example with his appointees after one of them was said to have kept millions of Dollars and thousands of Euros in hard currency at home.
According to John Dramani Mahama, $1million and €300 k and millions of GH cedis in a Ghanaian Minister's home? Scandalous!! Even if she genuinely acquired it, why keep such an amount of hard currency at home?
President Akufo Addo must set a good example for public office holders in his administration. Will he ever do that John Dramani Mahama asked?
A section of the general public on social media have also condemned that act and are calling on President Akufo Addo to do something about this and also make sure that none of his appointees does such thing again but must sack the Sanitation Minister.
Minority in parliament have also added their voice to the trending news and are calling on President Akufo Addo to sack Cecilia Dapaah for allegedly stashing over $1 million in her home.
We need to see something being done about this matter as soon as possible so that other's don't repeat the same mistake now or in the future. This act must be condemned immediately. The government must act now!
