A Texas-based tiktoker has been arrested in Dubai and faces 2 years in prison if found guilty of allegations leveled against her. The TikToker identified by the name “Sassy Trucker” was said to have screamed at a car rental worker which according to sources it's against the rules and regulations of Dubai, hence the arrest. She is currently to be charged to court to face charges and if found guilty she will serve a two years jail sentence in Dubai.

Spoke about this a week ago, and it seems more details on this have surfaced since.
We have no laws that specifically detain a person for "screaming in public" Yet we do have a Public Morals law, where if you cause anything that would be deemed as a "public disturbance" may lead to a fine. Even that isn't broadly implemented as there is an understanding that there is a cultural difference with tourists, so a verbal warning is often given when the police believe there is no major intent to cause a public disturbance and the person is being cooperative. On Allen's specific issue: if you're in a car accident in a rental: If you have comprehensive insurance, you're good to go. If you don't, did you cause the accident? If not then you're good to go. If you did cause it with no insurance, then you will most probably have to wait several days until the rental receives a damage estimate so you can pay it off and leave. Or leave a large deposit if the rental place accepts it, and you may leave. At no point do you hand your "credit cards, debit cards, and cell phone to anyone? If you are in a dispute with any business, you call the police. If you felt intimidated by anyone, who do you call? Again, The police. You don't scream you're way out of situations here. According to the news she's not detained, which implies that the dispute is financial. The police don't need 3 months to weigh on whether to prosecute or not, @RadhaStriling should know better but she's making things up at this point. A very funny point is Radha thinking Allen is targeted for being a black woman, like Dubai is some red state with a right-wing prosecution office. This is Dubai dear. We couldn't care less what your color is or where you come from. Break the law and there will be consequences. Thave no doubt her issue will get resolved pretty soon.
