Agana Bawa has decided which form she will use to run in the parliamentary primaries.
Hon. Agana Bawa, the Chief Executive Officer of Tanga station, a local station in the Upper East and a staunch member of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Bolgatanga Central Constituency, has picked up a form to compete in the Upcoming internal primaries. Tanga Radio is located in the Bolgatanga Central Constituency.
Prior to this, Mr. Bawa competed against Hon. Rex Asanga and Hon. Joe Amiyure in 2015 and came in second place, losing to Hon. Rex Asanga. In 2019, he made the decision to allow Hon. Rex Asanga and other individuals to continue in their roles.
After picking up his form, Hon. Bawa gave an interview to Apexnewsgh.com, in which he expressed his belief that the Almighty God has bestowed upon him the blessing and the wisdom necessary to see himself back in the race.
"I believe that whatever God will add to me, he has already given it to me so that I may choose the form and compete in the race once more."
In the prior competition, he was defeated by Rex Asanga; hence, we are curious as to why he is competing again. As a response, he stated, "There is a smart saying on our local tongue, and I will translate it directly to you: If you have your farm, and you go to farm this year, and it did not yield well, you would not cease farming, and you would continue farming. If you hadn't ceased farming on that day, it's likely that you would have reaped a greater crop and had a successful harvest in that particular year. I have a feeling that this is the year that the good Lord is going to lead me to a successful harvest for our family.
On the other hand, he went on to identify himself as a social worker and a community worker, saying, "I have what we call...in terms of showing care to humanity." I can assure you that I have provided the people of the Bolgatanga Central Constituency with the very best that I have to offer."
"I take pleasure in making others in the community happy, and I have dedicated the better part of my life to serving the people of the Bolgatanga Central Constituency. I believe that this is the time when they will see a better side of me, and I hope that at the very least they will give me this opportunity to serve them in a better platform and bring more development to them."
In his address to the delegates, the Honourable Bawa stated that he is seeking their mandate and that he wants to plead with them that he is a very humble soul and a calm person who is always eager to serve his people on any level.
