Nigerian afrobeat artist born David Adeleke better known by his many stage names “OBO”, “Baddest”, and “OO1” amongst others is currently facing a serious backlash on Twitter by the Muslim community over a video he posted promoting an underground artist. David posted an artist who goes by the name @logosolori along with his newly released song and the video is what is causing all the chaos. In the video, the artist sings while groups of Muslims are offering prayers on their mat.
According to the Muslim community, their prayers are sacred and they hold them in high esteem, hence Davis do posting such videos is disrespectful to their religion and they demand a public apology. Although Davidson is yet to respond to their claims, a few of the comments left by users are highlighted below;
@Supheey
Dear Davido, for the benefit of the doubt, we will assume you do not know that Muslims hold the obligatory prayers sacred and it's prohibited to joke or play with the prayers. Please kindly take it down and apologize to all Muslims for this great mistake
@BashirAhmaad
There are many reasons why every Muslim finds this content disrespectful, hurtful, and offensive @davido. I assume you all know that we Muslims don't mix our religion with jokes in any way, especially Salah (prayer), which is sacred and the second of the five pillars of Islam. In Salah, Muslims remember our Lord, Allah, express our love and respect for Him, and invoke and strive to express our gratitude towards Him. The notion is that the Salah activity brings the individual face-to-face with God. That is what we believe, and that is our faith. Please respect it.
No Muslim will find it as an honor or acceptable.
@Dongarrus1
The level of disrespect for Islam in this video is beyond repair. Islam is a religion of peace and in Islam, there's no joke nor fun when it comes to it. Davido should please take this down as it's a bad name for our religion.
@el_bonga
This video is disrespectful to Islam. We hold prayers with huge regard as the first thing that would be accounted for on judgment day. Prayer is a peaceful moment we hold a personal one-on-one session with God to make many reflections. Prayer isn't a music/dancing center.

This is disrespectful to our religion, you have to know this, we never engage or played with someone's religion, with due respect this video has to be canceled in respect to the Muslim ummah.@davido
