Not too far back in time, one can recall how Yvonne Nelson shared in her memoir about how Sarkodie got her pregnant and denied responsibilityalso, she detailed an incident where he drove her to a medical facility, and she experienced severe bleeding while he was away.

In her book 'I Am Not Yvonne Nelson', the actress revealed a chapter called 'Abortion', where she shared that Sarkodie only drove her to the Mamprobi Polyclinic for the procedure but neither checked in on her nor how it went afterward.

Sarkodie also released a track titled 'Try Me', which is a response to Yvonne Nelson's allegations.

Debate involving rapper Sarkodie's 'Try Me' song persists as critics believe its content disrespects women. But Ghanaian rapper Michael Owusu Addo, popularly known as Sarkodie, remains unfazed about public opinion about his Try Me song.

However, telling his side of the story in the single, 'Try Me', Sarkodie detailed that it was Yvonne's sole decision to abort the pregnancy.

Although the rapper admitted that they had a relationship, he claimed that Yvonne Nelson was manipulating the situation by portraying herself as the victim and exploiting the fact that society tends to pay more attention to womens voices than mens.

Speaking extensively for the first time on Yvonne

Nelson's allegations about him, Sarkodie explained that he made the song because he genuinely wanted to, but not means to seek sympathy or validation from the public.

Consequently, asked if Yvonne Nelson and her  followers have responded to the song on the 'Way Up With Angela show', Sarkodie responded that; "I have no idea at all. When I put it out, I wasn't looking for reactions. I did it because I wanted to do it, I'm not looking for reactions, you know; I just said it."

Sarkodie further elaborated that he did not intend to put the song out there to seek consolation and that he was not worried about who said what or whatever opinions the people may have.
