Black Sherif, the current holder of the title of VGMA Artiste of the Year, has stated that despite the fact that he is unhappy with his songs being leaked prior to their official release, his fans should not be reluctant to enjoy it.

According to a report from The Culture Joint, Black Sherif berated the individuals responsible for the unauthorised distribution of his music by referring to them as "babylons." He further charged that they were attempting to sabotage his career as a musician.

The Kwaku Yesterday, July 22, the hitmaker behind the song "Traveller" is said to have made the remarks shortly before performing at the University of Ghana.

"certain songs that I recorded three years ago, two and a half years ago, certain babylon tunes have it and are blasting right now... So take pleasure in hearing them whenever you get the chance. However, if you don't see a tweet from me, that means I never distributed it," he explained.

The artist who is most known for his song "Oh Paradise" has revealed that he would be putting out additional music in the coming weeks for the benefit of those who appreciate listening to music.

He also performed "Bad Bitches," which was one of the tracks that had been leaked, much to the delight of the audience members who cheered him on.

The story of Black Sherif's purported arrest at Kotoka International Airport (KIA) went viral on social media, and the following few days have not been particularly favourable for him as a result of this.

Graphic Online was able to corroborate with a police source that he was detained on the evening of Wednesday, July 19, in response to a fraud allegation that had been lodged against him by Cruise People Limited (Your Cruise People).

According to the source, Black Sherrif was detained at the Kotoka International Airport upon his arrival in Accra and thereafter transported to the headquarters of the police force.

It has been stated that he has been paid half of the money for the performance, but he has not been accessible for "promo" for the event. He was scheduled to play on a cruise beginning on August 19, 2023.

As a direct consequence of this, the promoters have decided to scrap the show.
