I'M NOT A SAKAWA BOY SUPER RICH NPP PARLIAMENTARY ASPIRANT CRIES OUT

Mr. Silas Mathew Amoah, a stalwart of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Bolgatanga East Constituency, has vehemently denied any involvement in internet fraud, also known as Sakawa in the local lingo. Mr. Amoah is a candidate for the Bolgatanga East Constituency.

He emphasised that the allegation that he is participating in online fraud is a deliberate attempt by his critics and political opponents to undermine him for the primary aim of furthering their political agenda.

Mr. Amoah, who prides himself on being an astute businessman, has spent so extravagantly in the Constituency that he has caused many people's mouths to hang open in amazement. Because it is not widely recognised that he is the owner of any significant firm, either within or outside of the Constituency, some individuals have questioned the legitimacy of his wealth. Because of this, there are rumours circulating that he is probably a con artist.

However, when speaking in an interview with Joshua Asaah of A1 Radio, Mr. Amoah did not spare words when disputing the charge and hitting hard at his accusers for wanting to bring his name into shame by calling him names in the manner that they did.

"I'm keeping my feet on the ground. When someone wants to discredit you, the majority of our politicians will engage in a lot of name-calling because we do things that they are unable to do. They receive such a large amount of assistance from us that they begin to believe that no one else could possibly assist them...I mentioned it the day before. I run a company, and the relevant records can be found at the Registrar General, the GRA, and the SSNIT. I am not merely avaricious. I just want to see people become better versions of themselves, but they see the speed at which we are moving, and if they can't find something negative to connect to our name, I'll be thankful that people are intelligent. Even if it is Sakawa, they are going to eat and transform," he remarked.

He just lately completed and submitted his nomination documents with flying colours in order to take part in the NPP parliamentary primary in the Bolgatanga East Constituency.

He requested that individuals who were still sceptical about the origin of his money verify the documents of his companies with the Registrar General's Department as well as other state authorities such as the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) and the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT).

In the legislative elections of 2024, Mr. Amoah will compete against the candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr. Dominic Ayine, should he become victorious in the primaries
