Tottenham Hotspur player James Maddison has told Jude Bellingham the Real Madrid shirt "fits you very well" after making his unofficial debut for the club during his side's win over AC Milan in a pre-season friendly in the United States on Sunday.

The La Liga giants were 2-0 down by AC Milan, with Federico Valverde scoring a brace and Vinicius Jr scoring the winning goal with 10 minutes remaining.

Jude Bellingham started the match and he expressed his joy on Instagram saying "I loved the first minutes as a Madridista".

In the comments section of his post, the new Real Madrid star was praised by a number of teammates, including James Maddison telling him the shirt "looks good on you", Thibaut Courtois calling him an "idiot" and Roberto Carlos clapping his hands in praise of him.

It was a good first for the 20-year-old, but was it a surprise? If he continues on his current path, it will not be surprising if he becomes a Madrid legend in the years to come, Bellingham posted the following announcement today.

“I loved my first minutes as a Madridistra,” says Bellingham. “Let's keep building. Thanks to love.

Unless something catastrophic happens, Bellingham will be heading towards legendary status at Madrid as there's no way his talent wouldn't succeed at the La Liga giants.

Barcelona are currently the defending champions, so the first thing to do is win the title back and then make the usual trips to the Champions League final and add more trophies to their wardrobe. It will be interesting to see how Bellingham develops, especially with the amount of dazzling talent surrounding him today, not to mention the pressure he will be under.
