The political tension in the country is thickening as the country gets closer to another major election. As the national election gets close, the race to who wins the New Patriotic flagbearer race also gets closer. Ten candidates picked and submitted forms to lead the party in the next general elections in 2024. With President Akufo- Addo exiting his term of office next year, the NPP seek to get a formidable candidate to lead them and help them break the 8. All ten who picked up forms and went for the vetting have been cleared to contest.

For the opposition National Democratic Congress, they have already elected John Mahama to lead them. This was after Mahama beat Kojo Bonsu in the NDC primaries in May. This will be the 4th time that John Mahama will be contesting as flagbearer in a Ghanaian major election. Out of the three previous election, Mahama has only managed to win just one.

Well, Kevin Taylor, a United States based Ghanaian journalist has made a bold declaration regarding John Mahama. Kevin Taylor has always insisted that he is an NPP but will not vote for them in elections. Many have doubted this claim that he is NPP because of his consistent attacks on the party. While blasting the NPP, Kevin has praised the NDC and their candidate Mahama even before the 2016 elections.

Kevin in another bold statement has revealed that out of all those that seek to challenge Mahama in 2024 there is none who is competent. He challenged Ghanaians to present him with a candidate with a better curriculum vitae than Mahama. He noted that the same Mahamudu Bawumia, Alan Kyerematen and Kennedy Agyapong are part of the current NPP government that has sent Ghana into a ditch. According to Kevin, he would have wished to vote for a different candidate but currently, John Mahama is the one who can be trusted because his credentials are credible as compared to his other competitors.
