Nana Akomea, the Director at the State Transport Services has hit hard at the National Democratic Congress for their recent commentary about the chances of the ruling New Patriotic Party in the next elections. Many experts, as well as supporters of the NDC have started bragging that the 2024 elections will likely be a mere formality for the NDC because of the hard times the country finds herself in under the rule of the New Patriotic Party.

According to Nana Akomea, the NDC know that the NPP are doing well, but the opposition have failed to applaud this effort. This was after Okudzeto Ablakwa, MP for North Tongu had criticized the NPP while speaking on Metro TV' s Good Morning Ghana. According to Ablakwa, the gains that the NPP have made in recent elections in the northern part of Ghana is jaundiced and insignificant. Ablakwa also blasted Bawumia for capturing the NPP and also running from the vision of Akufo- Addo.

In reaction, Nana Akomea mentioned that looking at how the NPP only had 4 constituencies in in 2016 and now have 16 out of 31 constituencies is a massive feat. He noted that Okudzeto is a fine politician and one of the finest MPs in the country, but then his propaganda tactics is what is worrying him. He praised the NDC MP for his scrutiny of certain issues in the country, but was quick to tell Ablakwa to stop the unnecessary propaganda.

Nana mentioned that it is erroneous to say that the gains the NPP have made in the north are insignificant. Nana also questioned if Mahama can be said to have captured the NDC because he has been the face of the party in the last 3 elections. Interestingly, Nana Akomea noted that Bawumia is not running from Akufo- Addo' s shadow or vision but rather intends to add and make that vision better. Nana questioned if Ablakwa has the same vision as Mahama and boldly stated that Ablakwa might support Mahama, but this doesn' t mean that he has the same vision as Mahama.
