I CAN SEE THAT GOD HAS PLACED A CURSE ON THE ORGANIZERS OF VGMA BECAUSE OF WHAT THEY DID TO ME - PAT

Patapaa Amisty, a Ghanaian musician best known for his song "One Corner," has dropped hints that the organisers of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards may be under a supernatural curse. Patapaa Amisty's comments were made during a recent interview.

In a recent interview on Hitz FM, Patapaa highlighted his ongoing dissatisfaction with the results of the 2018 Virgin Islands Music Awards (VGMA), where he was beaten out for the coveted Most Popular Song of the Year title by Fancy Gadam's "Total Cheat."

The musician, who was born Justice Amoah, claimed that he had a feeling that God had placed a curse on the VGMA organisers as a consequence of their behaviour during the awards ceremony. He believed this to be the case because of the behaviour of the VGMA organisers.

Because of what they did to me, the organisers of the VGMA have earned the wrath of God, and I can see that he has cursed them. He made it clear that he did not want to travel too far.

He refrained from sharing any additional information on the topic, but he did indicate that the believed curse was a type of penance for causing someone else to experience discomfort.

"If I want to go far, then I will say this: when we say curse, it indicates that someone is being punished for inflicting harm to another person. If you caused someone else suffering, then you are being cursed. When asked about it on the show, he responded, "I don't want to say it."

According to the outspoken musician, a prime illustration of this is the incident surrounding Amakye Dede, in which it is said that he was pressured into crowning Kuami Eugene as his successor, despite the fact that he was not prepared to honour his decision.

"I would like to use the situation with Amakye Dede as an example; however, I don't want to discuss it. They coerced Amakye Dede into crowning someone despite the fact that he was not prepared to do so," he continued.

Patapaa, whose song made waves and crossed over to other nations, was nominated for a Video Game Music Award in 2017, with other notable musicians such as Ebony, KiDi, Kwami Eugene, Joe Mettle, and Captain Planet. Patapaa's song also crossed borders to other countries.

Following his defeat at the VGMA, Patapaa voiced his public disapproval of the awarding body, alleging that the members had accepted bribes to give honour to musicians who were not deserving of the honour.

He vented his anger and pledged that in the future he would refuse any nominations that came from the VGMA.

Despite the obstacle, Patapaa is unwavering in his dedication to his musical career and is presently touring in support of his most recent hit, which is titled "Agye."
