Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is a Ghanaian politician who has served as the president of Ghana since 2017. He previously served as Attorney General from 2001 to 2003 and as Minister for Foreign Affairs from 2003 to 2007 under the Kufuor-led administration.
The controversial issue surrounding Hon. Cecilia Dapaah's $1 million, €300,000 and Millions of Ghana cedis stolen by her househelps which the matter created a lot of issues that made her resign from her position as Sanitation and Water Resources Minister. She however submitted a letter to the President for her resignation and after she was put under arrest by the Office of the Special Prosecutor. She's now been granted bail.

President Akufo- Addo makes new ministerial appointments.
The President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo- Addo has appointed the Minister of State at the Presidency and Member of Parliament for Tano North, Hon. Freda Prempeh as the Minister for Sanitation and Water Resources. She takes over from Hon. Cecilia Abena Dapaah, whose letter of registration dated Saturday 22nd July, 2023 was accepted by the President on Saturday 22nd July, 2023.
President Akufo- Addo in consultation with the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration and Roads and Highways, respectively has also appointed the Deputy Minister for Roads and Highways and Member of Parliament for Afigya Sekyere East, Hon. Mavis Nkasah Boadu as the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration and Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration and member of Parliament for Tatale/Sanguli, Hon. Thomas Mbomba as the Deputy Minister for Roads and Highways.
According to the release from the Presidency these appointments will take effect immediately just after the President announced some new Ministerial appointments.
