NSMQ 2022 saw a lot of thrillings, sorrowful moments and the charging of the podium . Presec Legon defied all olds to claim the defending champion of 2022National science and Maths quiz and the bragging rights .This year promises to be exciting as nsmq is celebrating 30 solid years of producing scientific and technological innovative students across the length and breadth of the country. The regional championships just ended and we are looking forward to the main national contest after this year's Wassce . This article seeks to give a synopsis of whatever transpired in every region during the contest .
1. Central Region
This championship came in 5 contest including the finals. At the end of the 4 contest , St. Augustine , Mfantipim, Aggrey Memorial and Adisadel college soared high to the grand finale. It was a keenly competed . Mfantipim was on its way to cling the trophy until those in zebra began to show power . At the end of the contest , Adisadel college came out successful.
2. Greater Accra Region
The defending champions Presec Legon retained their title of being the 2022 national champions. They beat Chemu SHS , Tema Methodist SHS and Accra Academy .
3. Ashanti Region
The unimaginable hit the land of the garden city .A mixed school called Kumasi Anglican Secondary School clinged the trophy. They beat the famous Prempeh College and SIMS SHS . This contest in fact created a lot of post on the social media as the rivalry of Prempeh College was Kicked out with 26 points and they also managed carefully to secure 26 points not deviating from the mark.
4. Eastern Region
A heated contest it was between Pope John's , St . Peters and Abuakwa College. It seemed that there was no way the prowess and depth of knowledge the other two schools had acquired could deny Pope John's their chance of taking up the trophy . And indeed they took up the trophy .
