A parliamentary committee will investigate the tapes to remove the IGP 
A seven-member committee tasked with investigating the suspicious video released calling for the resignation of Inspector General of PoliceGeorge Akuffo Dampare by the Right Honorable Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin.
The committee is chaired by Abuakwa South MP Samuel Atta Akyea and includes James Agalga, MP for Builsa North and former Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, MP for Mfantseman Ophelia Mensah, MP for Okaikoi Central Patrick Yaw Boamah, MP for Wa West Peter Toobu and Asunafo. South South Member of ParliamentEric Opoku. The committee'sadvisor is Dr. Isaac Lartey Annan of the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ).
On July 14, the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, ordered the formation of a seven-man special committee to investigate the footage released plotting the removal of the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr George Akuffo Dampare. His directive came after Armah Minority Deputy Leader Kofi Buah asked the House to investigate the matter.
This committee was given the task of investigation
the validity of the abandoned audio recording, to investigate the plan to remove the current police officer, to investigate any other content in the audio recording, to recommend punishment to the guilty parties if any quality, andrecommendations for change ifnecessary and make it better.such other recommendations and consequential laws as the committee may think fit.
