We had hoped for more children, but we are happy with the family that we have now - Adjetey Anang

The multi-talented actor Adjetey Anang, well known for his role as "Pusher" in the critically acclaimed television series "Things We Do For Love," recently admitted that he and his wife, Elom Anang, desired to have additional children.

In an interview with Graphic Showbiz, Adjetey Anang disclosed that the number of children he would want to have is two, while his wife had hoped for three. He expressed thankfulness for their children and acknowledged that any new benefits would be welcomed with open arms, despite the fact that he and his wife are now happy with their family.

"I have always wanted to have two and my wife wants to have three children so if we have one or two more, it will be great but we are content with what we have," he said. "I have always wanted to have two and my wife wants to have three children."

In addition, Adjetey Anang discussed the challenges that he and his wife had when attempting to conceive a child, describing the contrasting feelings that they went through along their journey.

There were times when there was so much hope, and there were other times when you would ask yourself what it is that you are doing wrong as Christians. "So it was a blend of feelings; there were times when there was so much optimism, and there were other times when there was so much hope.

Adjetey Anang discloses that a political party asked him to back their candidate for flagbearer, but he turned down the offer.

The actor said that the process was not devoid of societal demands, relating situations in which individuals offered prayers and well-wishes to them while they were on their journey. He noted that the process was not without cultural constraints.

"There were times when we were invited for outdoorings, and then there were other times when people would see you and say, 'we are praying for you.'" All of it was very challenging for the both of us," he disclosed.

He emphasised, however, that these well-intentioned acts sometimes contributed to the burden of expectations that they had to bear.

"There was a lot of pressure on us, and it was very tough, but we kept hoping and hoping, and here we are today," he said. "[T]here was a lot of pressure on us, and [it] was very tough."

After Adjetey Anang recently acknowledged to having an affair, his memoir, which has recently stirred up a topic, inspired discussion about the difficulties of relationships and public life.

In spite of the criticism, the actor remained steadfast in his determination not to change any aspect of the story he was telling.

"No, I'm not going to alter anything at all; I'm going to keep it the way it is." That is how it is expected to be for someone who is constantly in the public eye. "In order for them to relate to you, there is a degree of vulnerability and sincerity that is required on your part," he explained.
