Patience Ozokwor, better known by her stage name Mama G, is a veteran actress in the Nigerian film business. She recently shared with her peers the news that they do not have to move to Abuja or Lagos in order to achieve success in the film industry.
This was spoken by Ozokwor on Tuesday night in Enugu during a candle procession night that was held in commemoration of the late Madam Peace Anyiam-Osigwe, who was the Chief Executive Officer and founder of the Africa Movie Academy Awards.
She made the observation that a lot of performers and actresses began their careers in Enugu, but after they became famous, they moved to Abuja or Lagos and forgot about their origins in Enugu.

"But as for me, I have said that I will remain in Enugu, deep within the village, and when I travel to Lagos, I will tell them that I am a woman from the countryside.
"God has shown me that you may become a celebrity from anyplace in the world, and I live in Ngwo, which is located in the Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State.
Patience Ozokwor said that it was not necessary for them to be in Lagos or Abuja.
The next piece of advice that Ozokwor gave to her colleague was as follows: "If you are good enough, they will call you even from America."

She also mentioned that she had been honoured with the Centenary Award for Member of the Federal Republic, which is only presented once every century.
"I did not even know who put my name there, so you might be picked from anywhere. I did not even know who put my name there.
"That is the statement I wanted to make in this industry but I am happy that I am saying it today," she said. "I am happy that I am saying it today."
When considering the preceding statement, one can wonder if it is necessary to take into account the location before beginning work in the film sector. It's possible that what Mama G said is true, but only to a certain extent.
