The chiefs and people of Teshie Praso in the Asante-Akyem South Municipality made a plea to the government and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) for aid in order to kickstart the building of a much-needed clinic in their community about three years ago.

The 14th of July 2021 was the day that this request was made.

In response to a news article that was published by Adom News in 2021, a "Good Samaritan" named Rev. Nana Adom, who lives in the United Kingdom, took the initiative to build a health centre for Teshie Praso with the assistance of The Church of Pentecost. This occurred after a large amount of time had passed.

Adom News has reported on many of the difficulties that the community of Teshie Praso and the adjoining communities in the Asante-Akyem South Municipality have had in obtaining adequate medical care over the course of the past several years in their numerous articles.

As a result, the chief and villagers of Teshie Praso expressed their gratitude to Adom News for their effective reporting, and this was obvious during a recent visit by Adom News' Isaac Amoako to the area where the ongoing building of the health clinic was witnessed. In addition, the locals of Teshie Praso thanked Adom News for their coverage.

The chief of Teshie Praso, Niikoi Sasraku II, could not contain his delight and congratulated Adom News while also expressing his thanks to Rev. Nana Adom and The Church of Pentecost for their contribution in creating the health clinic. Niikoi Sasraku II was unable to contain his joy.

Reverend Nana Adom, who is currently serving as the Pastor at Grace Community Church Redhill in London, spoke to the community about the inspiration behind the construction of the health centre for the Teshie Praso people during the presentation of the facility to the community.

Elder Alexander Kwame Nkattie Frimpong, who serves as the health coordinator for The Church of Pentecost, spoke with Adom News as well. He stated that the church has set aside Ghc 700,000 in order to purchase the essential medical equipment and support the staff working at the health centre.

The community was reassured by Alexander Frimpong, the Chief Executive Officer of the Municipality of Asante Akyem South, that the municipality will take a part in the day-to-day operations of the health institution.
