"Sorry sir, are you leaving?" The receptionist asked me as I was already at the exit door.
"Yeah, any problem?" I replied.
"Sorry, we need to check on the person u slept with before u leave" she said politely.
" She is good" I chipped in.
" That's the policy here young man, let's call her and u can go" the bouncer thundered from where he was standing with his arms crossed.
" Okay, call her please, am running late" I replied and drew closer to the reception desk.
" She is not taking her calls" the receptionist said after several attempts.
"Have urself to blame if u have tried anything funny young man" the bouncer said and he came closer and listen as Debbie's phone rang without being answered.

"I think we should go to her room and check on her" the receptionist suggested and we went to the room and started knocking.
We knocked for more than 5 minutes before she finally answered from the bathroom.
"Sorry what are u guys doing here?" She asked as she opened the door and saw me with the hotel workers.
" Sorry Debbie cash, we want to check if u are okay that is why we stopped him from going. We tried calling u but u wasn't picking, sorry for bothering u" the receptionist explained and Debbie smiled.
" Sorry I was taking my bath then, allow him to go. Hope you are not harassed? (Referring to me)"
We left the room to the reception desk, they apologize and explained why they did what they did.
"Don't be offended please, we encountered some incident here last year, a guy killed a lady he lounged here with but thank God for our security who tried his best to apprehend him when he was trying to disappear in the morning. We handed him over to the police and our hotel was shutdown for six months, that is why we are becoming more careful sir" she explained and I became better after hearing her reasons.
I hurried home and met Jacob outside pressing his phone looking worried.
