Former Sanitation and Water Resources Minister, Madam Cecilia Abena Dapaah was arrested on the suspicion of stealing and hiding some $1 million belonging to the state. However, a surprising revelation has emerged that about $800, 000 of the amount hidden in her house belongs to her late brother, Nana Akwasi Eddan II, the Nomuahene of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

Among the intriguing details that have surfaced is the link between the alleged stolen cash and Nana Akwasi Eddan II. According to reports, part of the funds was intended to be used to cover the burial expenses of Cecilia Dapaah' s late brother. This revelation has brought the deceased into the center of the unfolding narrative, adding a layer of complexity to an already contentious situation. According to a popular New Patriotic Party communicator, most of the money found at her house were funeral donations made during Late Nana Akwasi' s burial.

Another side of the story by Paul Adom Otchere was that " Cecilia has a brother who is a business man. At 60yrs he planned to buy lands in Breman and build apartments but he fell ill and gave the $800, 000 in a box to his mother. Now the said Brother died, and this successful business man brother has no wife, kids to take inheritance of the $800, 000 meant for business but rather the money became family cash which was handed over to Auntie Cecilia before her mum also passed on. "

As to why these huge sums of money were still kept at Cecilia Dapaah' s House instead of a bank is still unknown. However, the new development is that all the money does not belong to Cecilia Dapaah as reported by the media but some to his late brother.

In conclusion, the tale of Nana Akwasi Eddan II adds a compelling dimension to the unfolding narrative of Cecilia Dapaah' s alleged stolen cash. As the nation watches and waits for answers, it is crucial to approach the matter with fairness, objectivity, and compassion, honoring the memory of the deceased while seeking justice and transparency in the pursuit of truth.
