Kafui Amegah, a member of the communication team for the New Patriotic Party, has expressed his gratitude and admiration for the thieves who were responsible for the crime that took place on the property of Honourable Cecelia Dapaah.
During an interview with Kwaku Dawuro for the show Movement In The Morning, which is broadcast on Movement TV and Wontumi radio, Kafui Amegah praised the accused house helps of the former Minister for Aviation and Sanitation and Water Resources, Honourable Cecelia Dapaah, for stealing thousands of dollars that were stashed in her home. Kafui Amegah made these comments about the accused house helps.
It is imperative, in his opinion, that the perpetrators be allowed to walk free given that the action they took prevented a national crisis by maintaining the value of the dollar.
He stated that "what transpired on Friday has brought a significant problem and distraction to the table." Kwaku, when you leave a station to speak with someone inside, you may find that individuals are waiting outside for you to pay them money as though you owe it to them. Our lives are in danger because they believe we have money in our homes, and what happens is that when you do programmes in the night, terror grips you because you don't know who will be after you. They think you're lying when you say them there's no money, and our lives are in danger because they believe we have money in our homes. We don't get into politics for the money; we get into politics because we want to serve our communities. If we got into politics for the money, my brother here would be filthy rich, but that's not the case.
One topic that I usually bring up is the time when the government asked everyone to release money that had been hoarded into the system because the country was sick. This is something that I always bring up. Dollar was pricey, but Kwaku was more affordable for me. I applaud the children's decision to steal the money. I have the utmost respect for them for what they did since they added money to the system in order to maintain the stability of the currency; therefore, the police ought to set them free if at all feasible. If the money had been deposited in the bank, Ghana's current economic predicament would not exist.
