Chelsea are taking their campaign for next season very seriously, like all other European elite teams. During this transfer window, the Blues made some smart acquisitions, signing Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson, two promising attacking players.

The West London side are looking to strengthen their midfield and Brighton & Hove Albion's Moises Caicedo has been heavily linked with them this summer. The Blues have also expressed interest in signing Michael Olise and Mohamed Kudus to their current squad before the start of the upcoming season.

However, here's how the Blues can arrange for the 2023/24 season with their new signings

Real Madrid achieved very promising pre-season results, beating Manchester United 2-0. Los Blancos summer signing Jude Bellingham also continues to impress. And if he continues down this path, he will start the campaign like a beginner.

Bellingham had a great performance against AC Milan in the previous friendly. He did better this time around, scoring a fine goal as he cleared the ball past Andre Onana to open the scoring against Manchester United. Real Madrid scored another incredible goal of the day. Joselu, on loan from Espanyol, scored against Manchester United with a bicycle kick late in the second half.

However, another incident in the game has attracted a lot of attention. And that's when Bellingham didn't appreciate the tackle Lisandro Martinez made for him. The England international looked furious and it was certainly a challenge that had no place in a pre-season friendly. Real Madrid players complain to Martinez after the incident

Although Bellingham may not have been pleased with the Argentine's tackle, he certainly had nothing but positive things to say about Martinez after the game. As reported by The Guardian, the Real Madrid player said:

“I know what happens on the pitch stays on the pitch. I saw him at the end of the game and wished him luck. I can respect that when two players are trying to win for their team and can come together and respect each other after the game. He's a great competitor and a great player. Like me, he wants to win. Sometimes it spills out. »

Martinez was also heavily criticized for his tackles during Manchester United's pre-season friendly against Arsenal. And on another day, Bellingham may have been injured after the ordeal.

Luckily, Bellingham is fine and looks a lot like the player. Real Madrid appear to have made another breakthrough and find themselves an integral part of their midfield for the next decade and a half. Real Madrid still has two pre-season games left against Barcelona and Juventus. They will then begin their La Liga campaign against Athletic Bilbao in mid-August.
