"Am sorry but I can't do that, not with you" i replied sounding so cold.
" Am I not attractive or what? " She asked exposing her hips and huge melons.
" C'mon u are very good and every man will always dream to sleep with you but trust me when I told you that I can't" I said politely.
She shrugged and drew closer to where I was standing attempting to place a kiss but I reluctantly dodged it smartly.
"Okay, I know what you want, I will pay you handsomely, infact I will pay you double of whatever Debbie have been paying u" she said but that doesn't still moved me.
" Listen, I like you but am not in good mood for all these please, maybe some other time" I said and excused myself to the room where my phone was ringing.
I came out of the bathroom and Jane followed me, I checked and it was Jacob my friend calling.
"Hey guy! Am disappointed in you! Ur sister have been calling me that she tried calling u countless times last night but it wasn't going through, where are you?!" Jacob asked sounding very angry.
" Am on my way coming home, what happened? " I asked desperately.
"She said that ur mum has been hospitalized again, please call her now! " He said almost in a shout.
Gosh! Not again!
I couldn't even remember what was happening again as I threw my phone on the bed and dressed up immediately.
"What is the problem?" Jane asked as I was already at the door.
"It's my mum" that was all I replied her and went out immediately.
I got home and met Jacob preparing for work and murmuring to himself like a mad man.
"Hey! I will be heading to the hospital now please" I said and he paid less attention to what I said.
" Good for u" he replied plainly and left the room still soliloquizing.
I got to Enugu state in the night and called my sister.
"Where are you?" I asked.
"We are in the hospital brother. They haven't treated mum since yesterday night we came here, they are demanding for 20k deposit before they can touch her" she cried on the phone.
" Stop crying and text me the hospital address, am at home now" I said and we hung the call.
The worst thing that could ever happen to anybody is involving in such condition. People are just wicked! How can they prefer money to life?
Yeah! I have witnessed it severally, I have been the one taking my mum to the hospital but we always end up coming back disappointed because we couldn't deposit what they requests.
She sent the address and I headed over to the hospital immediately.
My mum started crying when she saw me in that hospital knowing my condition that I can't afford the hospital bill.
"My son, maybe ur sister can listen to you, I have told her to take me back home since they have refused to touch me since last night but she refused" mum cried.
" Bro, I refused because I prefer mum dying here than at home, many people will blame us if she dares die in the house but who will tell them that we couldn't afford the bill was why she died in the hospital?" My sister said and I nodded seeing her own reason of refusal.
"She is not going to die, am going to pay for everything and I promise mama will be okay" I said hugging my sweet mum who was gradually decreasing because of illness.
I met the doctor and paid up, treatment commenced immediately, I and my sister was very happy seeing my mum responding to the treatment quickly.
