Mr. Bernard Antwi- Boasiako, the NPP' s regional chairman for Ashanti, has challenged Kwasi Kyei Darkwah to an intellectual discussion and shown him that the NPP' s plan to end the eight- year curse makes more sense than giving the National Democratic Congress (NDC) control of the economy.
According to Chairman Wontumi of the NPP, GDP growth increased from 3. 7% to 6. 3% under the administration of former President John Agyekum Kufuor.
According to Chairman Wontumi, the economic growth rate in 2016 under former President John Mahama was 3. 4%, which was the lowest level in twenty years.
Chairman Wontumi said that President Akufo- Addo has earned his respect by revealing that John Mahama left inflation at 15. 4%.
With a GDP of 7%, Chairman Wontumi said, Ghana had one of the fastest growing economies in the world prior to COVID- 19.
Therefore, he questioned why Kwasi Kyei Darkwah would want to stop the NPP from breaking the eight by doing so.
" I am aware of where KKD departs from in East Legon, and prior to the NPP taking office, the road leading there wasn' t asphalt. However, as soon as the NPP took office, the road was asphalt, and this straightforward action by the NPP should convince him to back our plan to abolish the eight- year rule, according to Chairman Wontumi.
There is no point in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) ' breaking the 8' agenda in the 2024 elections, according to renowned Ghanaian broadcaster Kwasi Kyei Darkwah (KKD).
In an interview with TV XYZ, KKD challenged President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo and charged that he had broken his pledge to combat galamsey, or illegal mining.
" Things that you were supposed to do to break the eight, if you would have done them there wouldn' t be any need for a campaign, because of galamsey you bet with your presidency, you people should play the time that the president said that he will put his president on a bet to fight galamsey for me, whom are you deceiving here? " he asked.
