It haven't been easy for me since Debbie disgraced and embarrassed me in a public for what I know nothing about.
I got home that very day and met Jacob at home with his girlfriend Jane having a good moment in the sitting room.
Jane behaved like she never noticed my present but that wasn't my burden at that moment.
"Hey guy, u are looking sad, xup?" Jacob asked as he jotted out from Jane's body sweating.
" Am ... Am fine" I lied trying to bury it in my heart but he persisted.
"They have sacked u from work?" He asked teasingly. I glared at him because I was sure that Jane has told him everything about my affairs with Debbie.
I snubbed him and made it to the room and lied like a log of wood on the bed.
I witnessed another heartbreak after some years my ex left me, I became the shadow of myself.
My worries were not one, I don't know what I did to Debbie, I don't know if it's a curse to me not to have a girlfriend not to talk of fiancee.
All that weighed me down for two days indoor till my sister came to visit just as she have been disturbing me since. I wanted to ask her to cancel to trip but it was already late, I was the one that promised her to come once mama get well on her feet and here she comes when am not getting myself.
Jacob was the one that went to the park to pick her up, when Lucy my sister came she was very surprised to see me behaving weird.
"U didn't tell me that u are sick bro" she queried.
"Am fine, relax urself please" I said.
She became my best friend since Jane doesn't gives Jacob any space to be with me and I don't want to be hanging out with them since Jane is involved and she must be looking for a chance to mock me. She have warned me about Debbie but I thought she was so obsessed to have me on the bed.
Debbie started coming closer to my sister Lucy and I wasn't comfortable with that, I knew she will tell her my affairs with Debbie and our break up.
Already Lucy knew that I have a girlfriend but she doesn't know that we have separated, she have asked me when we are going to meet her but I lied to her that she travelled.
It was after the day I went to the super Mart with Lucy to get some stuffs that I gathered courage to tell her everything about me and Debbie.
I told her because Debbie saw us and she was calling me repeatedly when we were coming back from the Mart but I didn't took her call.
"Bro whom are you snubbing his or her call!" She asked with concern.
"Not someone serious dear" I said.
" Not serious and the person have been calling u for ages? At least know what he or she have to say please, there is always a sense in every nonsense" she advised smartly.
I have know Lucy right from my childhood because it's only two of us and we understand ourselves more than others.
She is a real incarnate of my grandmother in decision making. My dad always run to my grandma's house to seek for an advise even even out grandfather was still alive because she is such a wise woman with understanding in any challenges.
In other not to allow the argument to continue I secretly switched off the phone and narrated everything to her.
"Is she the one calling?" She asked after hearing everything.
" Yeah, I don't think I have anything to do with her again please" I said in finality but she smirked.
"C'mon bro, are you trying to blame her? Are you trying to judge her after she told u everything? Am sorry but u are the one that need to apologise to her" she said and I became confused.
" Apologize for what?!" I asked.
"For everything bro, if you think you are old enough to get married u must learn to apologise to a woman even when u are right but this time u are not right and not wrong" she said again making the whole thing more complicating.
"She embarrassed me in public and u are asking me to apologise to her, how? "
" Listen, that woman have helped u alot for u to reciprocate by helping her too. Can't u see that she is going through an emotional traumatic experience? C'mon if she is ur sister now would u abandon her? " She illustrated and I started feeling guilty for what I didn't caused.
"So what do we do?" I asked her and she kept mute for some seconds before she lifted her head up and smiled.
"Am gonna help u but don't tell her that am ur sister till we are done please" she said smiling.
I was not understanding what she was trying to do but I nodded positively.
