The alleged perpetrator of the bullying incident at Adisadel College is set to appear before a district court in Cape Coast, following his arrest and subsequent release on bail. The Attorney-General, Godfred Yeboah Dame, ordered an investigation into the matter to determine if the third-year student should face prosecution. Due to his age, being 17 years old, the accused bully, known as Bobby, will be treated as a juvenile during the legal process.

The incident in question took place in the Quaque House dormitory, where Bobby reportedly choked another third-year student from behind and forcefully slammed the victim's face against a bed's edge.

In response to the situation, the Ministry of Education has overturned the suspension of Kelvin Ofori, the victim. Ofori will now be allowed to stay in school and participate in the West African Senior Secondary School Examination (WASSCE). The Ministry has also arranged for a team of psycho-social counselors to support all the students involved, recognizing the psychological impact of such events.

Deputy Minister of Education, Rev. John Ntim Fordjour, emphasized the need for schools to implement robust supervision systems to maintain discipline. He assured that the Ministry and the Ghana Education Service (GES) would not interfere with the ongoing investigations by the security agencies and the Attorney-General's office, allowing the law to take its course.

Rev. Fordjour expressed the Ministry's stance against bullying in schools and encouraged senior high school students to refrain from engaging in any form of bullying. He also mentioned the policy of no mobile phones in schools as a measure to create a conducive learning environment and protect students.

During a meeting with the students, the Minister urged them to uphold discipline and avoid any actions that could hinder their academic progress. In response, the Assistant Head Prefect, Ishmael Asuafuah-Dankwa, on behalf of the students, pledged to exhibit good behavior.
