Cristiano Ronaldo was crowned FIFA Men's Player of the Year at the Best FIFA Football Awards in London on Sunday.
Along with teammates Sergio Ramos, Marcelo, Luka Modric, and Toni Kroos, the Real Madrid player was named to the FIFPro Team of the Year.
No English player, not even one from the Premier League, has been nominated to the World XI.

Buffon was named custodian, while Dani Alves of PSG and Leonardo Bonucci of AC Milan were named defenders, along with Sergio Ramos and Marcelo of Real Madrid.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte was nominated for men's manager of the year, but he lost to Zinedine Zidane, who won the Premier League title in his debut season in England.
Real Madrid defeated Juventus in the May final to become the first coach to win back-to-back Champions League championships. He also led Los Blancos to their first La Liga title.The 39-year-old outlasted fellow nominees Real Madrid's Keylor Navas and Bayern Munich's Manuel Neuer.
