Stop Pre-judging Madam Cecilia Abena Dapaah Over Her Stolen Money -GGP GHANA
Omanhene Nana Kofi Amankwaah who is the
Deputy Director for GGP-Ghana which stands for Good Governance Promoters have issued a press release in a caution to Ghanaians to stop pre-judging the case of Madam Cecilia Abena Dapaah.
The Former National President for NPP Youth Organisation and Deputy Director for Good Governance Promoters Of Ghana, Omanhene Nana Kofi Amankwaa has called on Ghanaians to refrain from pre-judging the former Minister of Sanitation and Water Resources, Hon. Cecilia Abena Dapaah.
One of the major issue is that various groups have raised concerns regarding the source and intended use of funds which includes USD $1million, €300.000 and unspecified amounts in Ghana cedis stolen from the Minister house.
During an interview, Omanhene stressed that the stolen money which belongs to the former Minister "could be her personal money and not for the government. Omanhene Nana Kofi Amankwaa further stated that Ghanaians have accused her and given her the entitle as a mother of corruption.
Omanhene Nana Kofi Amankwaa said that Madam Cecilia Abena Dapaah did not commit any crime by keeping money in her house, but am urging for a fair trial process.
"If we're discovering cash in quantities in people's house that are frightening and we dont want that to be happen, legislature is the way to go by. Go to parliament and legislate that if huge sums of money are found in the person house who is liable. Then Parliament must do something about this if they don't want people to keep hard cash at home. Omanhene Nana Kofi Amankwaa said he's will recommend parliament to work on that, so we don't have more troubles like this in the coming future. We are hoping for the best on this matter on Madam Cecilia Dapaah's stolen money.
