A BROKEN HEART ?

Hebrews 4:12 12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

What is the best thing to fix a broken heart? ...a heart bypass? ...angioplasty? ...heart made of plastic? ...transplant? How about God's Word? You see, these other methods can help people's physical hearts a lot, but God's heart surgery tool is his Word. This sharp scalpel is both good for the body and good for the soul and spirit. So, how much of your heart are you willing to let God and his powerful heart-healing tool touch? When you read God's Word or hear God's message preached, why not ask the Holy Spirit to help you understand, apply, and live out what you are learning? Let's give the Great Physician our hearts so he can do his work in us.

You find peace.

“And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

— Phillippians 4:7

When you give your heart to God, you stop worrying about all that you can’t control. You slow down, you begin to trust, you let the little things roll off your back. You know that your heart is in a safe place, and you find comfort knowing your God will never break or leave it.

You begin to put value into the right places and people.

“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

— Matthew 6:21

You feel renewed.

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will.”

— Romans 12:2

You find true happiness.

“Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.”

My Prayer:

Holy God, I pray that when I read your Bible and hear your Word preached and taught, the Holy Spirit will get into my heart and convict me of sin, make me uncomfortable in areas where I need to grow, and stir me up to be more like Jesus. In Jesus' precious name I pray. Amen.

May God increase and Bless you

May He Favor You

Receive speed in Jesus' Name Amen
