Insha Allah, A Beautiful Restoration is coming to Ledzokuku- Dr. Okoe Boye

The CEO of National Health Insurance Scheme, Dr. Bernard Okoe Boye is lacing his shoes to recapture the parliamentary seat in the Ledzokuku constituency. While the lost was attributed to many social reasons, the former NPP law maker and former deputy Health Minister, still believes he has some unfinished assignment so far as development in his area is retarded. He has embraced all criticisms which suggested that he lost the elections primarily because he refused invitations to funerals, naming ceremonies and other events which were held in the constituency when he was the Member of Parliament for Lodzokuku constituency.

The former law maker has launched a campaign tagging it as “Sankofa”. Earlier today, a post cited on his facebook page which showed a total support by his constituents when he called for the Sankofa Walk. “The SANKOFA WALK says it all. Insha Allah, a beautiful restoration is coming to Ledzokuku”, he said.

Bernard Okoe Boye lost his seat by a margin of 1,866 in the 2020 general elections to Benjamine Ayiku Nartey of the National Democratic Congress who secured a total votes of 55,938 representing 50.48%.  The former also secured  a total votes of 54,072 representing 48.79%.

It is glaringly clear, that Dr. Okoe Boye has still not lost touch with his constituents. After his shocking defeat, the political stalwart took measures to rejuvenate the ties between him and party executives and the entire NPP fraternity in the area. He was then spotted in most the durbars, communal activities, funerals, and sometimes offered free consultations at the Ledzokuku hospital.

He reiterated his concern on the lack development in his constituency and promises to make Ledzokuku a hub for job creation and development. He believes it is yet another for the people of Ledzokuku to decide on the future of their childrens’ education, jobs and the welfare of the constituents for which reason it is incumbent on the people Ledzokuku and the other electoral areas to make a good decision come December 2024 elections.
