The achievements of his administration in Zongo and inner-city communities were lauded by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, who pointed out that his administration has built more infrastructure in these places than any other administration has done since 1993. The president expressed his delight in these accomplishments.

President Akufo-Addo highlighted his administration's efforts in addressing the needs of Zongo villages through the formation of the Zongo Development Fund while speaking at a banquet held at the Jubilee House to honour Founders' Day. The luncheon was held at the Jubilee House.

He made the following statement: "Under their [Zongo Development Fund] auspices, we have constructed more infrastructure in the Zongo communities than any other government in the Fourth Republic."

In addition, the president called for a concerted effort to restructure Ghana's economy from its current position as a country that exports raw materials and imports retail goods to a state that is modern, value-adding, and industrialised.

He bemoaned the current systems that stunt economic growth and blamed them on the colonial overlords who built them.

In spite of the country's current economic predicament, President Akufo-Addo highlighted a number of his administration's many achievements.

These accomplishments include the successful implementation of the National Identification system with the use of the Ghana Card, the construction of more railways than any other government in the Fourth Republic, and the development of 106 operating enterprises in accordance with the One-District One Factory Policy.

Additionally, his administration has expanded financing for anti-corruption authorities such as the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) and the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE). This brings the total number of fishing landing sites to its greatest level since the country's independence.

President Akufo-Addo has not wavered in his conviction that the nation of Ghana can continue to serve as an example of success and optimism for the rest of the African continent despite the obstacles and problems that are currently being faced.
