Leading members of the National Democratic Congress keep grabbing top academic laurels from Masters degrees to Doctors of Philosophy. The last time a top member of the NDC received a PhD was when Peter Boamah Otukonor grabbed his. Interestingly, another NDC member has also grabbed his PhD degree. It can be recalled that in 2021, Joseph Yammin grabbed a Master' s Degree in Defence and International Politics. Yammin was a minister in charge of Youth and Sports under the erstwhile John Mahama government.
This time Joseph Yammin has graduated with a PhD in Theology. Many might be wondering why he read a programme in theology considering his earlier studies in issues pertaining to politics. It can be recalled that few months ago Joseph Yammin made some incendiary comments after a minister under the Akufo- Addo led NPP government made a statement during an NPP rally.
Bryan Acheampong while addressing a crowd during the Easter festivities boldly stated that the NPP will never hand over power to the NDC. This video went viral and attracted so much attack for the MP and now minster. Later, Joseph Yammin, the National Organizer came out to say that the NDC are ready to go out as men and fight if that will ensure that they win power. In a very volatile mood he noted that he will not stand aloof and watch the NPP steal power in the next election.
He insisted that the NDC will use all their blood to fight and make sure that the party win power. Well, within a few months later, Joseph Yammin has graduated in with a PhD in Theology.
