Folks two days ago my attention was drawn to a long epistle from your highness Manasseh Azure Awuni claiming that he had been contacted on the alleged fraud case against Justice Ekow Baiden, a justice of the Court of appeal involved in $190,000 property scam, in that epistle he claimed that even though he had been contacted earlier in the said matter he could not take the matter up because in his own words the story of the claimant does not add up.
When I read the piece from Manasseh, even though was livid, I wasn’t the least surprised!
You see Manasseh Azure, has an exalted view of himself and his style of journalism, what Manasseh hasn’t done yet is to claim that he invented journalism or brought it to Ghana.
Apart from that his ever professional Manasseh Azure never misses any opportunity to portray himself as someway somehow the custodian professional journalism in Ghana.
Trust me I have never had a problem with that, a person got to believe in himself and his craft for others to believe in him as well, my only problem is how he sometimes hypocritically and insensitively exhibit this condescension when it matters most, when the interest of vulnerable people (who he doesn’t need anything from) are at stake!
As an investigative journalist (at least that is the root of his arrogance), if someone contacts you with a case involving a judge of our Court defrauding her and your first instinct is that you asked a few questions and the answers doesn’t add up so you drop the matter??
Then what is the use of ‘investigative’ he has put his ‘journalist’?
That according to him, this serious allegations with glaring evidence doesn’t even warrant his attention or any further investigations…???
This is where the hypocrisy of Manasseh Azure always comes to the fore and we saw it even more brazenly when his beloved pastor Mensah Otabil was caught in the stinking banking sector mess, as usual he pretended as if the ink of his journalism pen was finished or perhaps he’s been exiled from the Country.
Meanwhile we have seen this same Manasseh Azure gone after people in this Country with what I call ‘toilet paper evidence’ far less of evidence than what this woman has provided in her case against Justice Ekow Baiden.
When he Manasseh woke up one day and started peddling those needless unsolicited publications against Zoomlion, did the story and the evidence he put out make any sense or warranted that frantic publicity he sougt to portray?
How about his shallow ford expedition investigations?
This is the same Manasseh Azure, whose only evidence of alleging bribery against a sitting President was that his friend a Burkinabe contracted had donated a vehicle to him and the said vehicle had been added to the Presidential pool and he was all over the place claiming to have conducted an explosive investigations claiming all manner of credit for it, today this same person is out here telling us what?
When this Manasseh claimed in his famous SADA/GYEEDA reportage that Guinea Fowls flew to Burkina Faso, what evidence did he provide to back that claim?
Did it even make sense that a domestic bird like Guinea fowl could fly several miles to another Country?
But he published it, made a hell of a noise about it and added it to his so called investigative achievements and today he is here saying what?
In Manasseh’s own narration, atleast he could not deny that the judge took the woman’s money to sell her a house at Pantang.
So if for whatever reason the transaction does not go through should the proper conduct by a justice of our Court who is the custodian of Justice not be a refund?
Why does this Judge refuse to refund the woman’s money and when the woman complains, he files a defamation case against the woman after she’s been chased out of the Country with death threats, secures a default judgement in the absence of the woman and now claiming to use the woman’s payment for his house to defray his defamation judgment?
Is this how a judge of our Court should behave???
And almighty Manasseh Azure, as usual sees nothing wrong with this, because it is not Zoomlion! atleast Zoomlion is not a judge nor works in any anti-corruption agency, it is the hypocrisy of people like Manasseh, their selectivity in who to go after and who to spare in a never ending race to fill up their own hole of insecurities fueled by their inate desire to be close to some people so as to feel belonged and arrived.
And anytime you see such relationship, the protector is a northerner or Voltarian and the protectee is a southerner or an Akan, never the other way round!
