Joao Cancelo and Bernardo Silva remain firmly atop Barcelona’s Wishlist for the ongoing transfer window. And the reigning La Liga champions have submitted a joint bid to Manchester City to sign the Portuguese duo this summer.
Joao Cancelo and Bernardo Silva have enjoyed illustrious careers at Manchester City. But both players have also fallen out of favor. The situation has deteriorated with Cancelo, who left Manchester City in the second half of the 2022–23 season to join Bayern Munich on a short-term loan deal.
Now back at the Etihad, the 29-year-old faces an uncertain future at Manchester City. Meanwhile, Bernardo Silva has made over 300 appearances for Manchester City while contributing more than 100 goals. But after winning every trophy with the Premier League champions, he wants to embark on an exciting adventure this summer.

Bernado Silva and Jao Cancello
On the other hand, Cancelo might not have a say in his Manchester City future. And widespread reports claim Pep Guardiola prefers to market the Portuguese international. Meanwhile, the situation surrounding the Premier League-winning duo has captured the attention of Barcelona.
The Catalan giants have a long-standing interest in Silva. They have attempted to sign the 28-year-old in the last two summer transfer windows. But a move has never materialized due to Barcelona’s never-ending financial duress. However, they have made an offer to sign the Portuguese international.
SPORT reports that the reigning La Liga champions have tabled a joint bid for Cancelo and Bernardo Silva. Barcelona will hope to sign the Premier League-winning duo on loan this summer. But Silva's deal will include a mandatory purchase clause worth €70 million.
Personal terms should not be an issue for Cancelo or Silva. But it is unclear if Manchester City will part ways with the Portuguese duo on loan this summer. And Barcelona might not be able to afford either player if the Premier League champions insist on permanent deals.
